I am skilled experienced certified life long law abiding citizen who has been left out of the financial security net. I am over 50 sought help and all i find are others willing to waste my time with bum stears & bunk information? Is USA truely land of the phonies? Is this what i'll find on yahoo also?

It just sounds like you've hit some bad situations. It doesn't mean that the whole country is falling apart (although somedays we all think it might), but it's just temporary bad luck. I'm sure it's hard to see it right now, but you're a mature man with plenty of experience. I'm sure when you've worked through your understandable frustrations you'll get back to where you want to be in regard to your finances.
It'll work out it always does, but it'll work out better and faster if you stay hopeful. Don't give up just yet, you're only in your 50's.

The American Dream is built on hard work and earning what you get in life. It isn't built on begging, expecting handouts or thinking Uncle Sam is just going to write you a big check because you don't break laws.
You need to work hard to make it here or anywhere. You have only been left out of the financial security net because you haven't sought to build one for yourself. It takes hard work and knowing how to invest for the future to become financially secure. It also takes education, some risk, and setting a strict budget for yourself. There is no magic wand to wave here, it takes work.

You are in the land of the entrepreneur, not the land of the worker. In short, you chose the wrong country, if you haven't used your smarts and business ability to get ahead in America by now. I you wanted a social safety net, there is still a tatty one in Canada.
