Lately, I just stay hungry. I usually eat 2 meals a day (sometimes 3) but now I, I snack all day at work. When I get home I eat and late at night I'm hungry again. I ate a big plate of food at 9:30 pm last night and when I got to work this morning @ 6:00 am I was starving like I ain't ate in a while. I'm not overweight, my BMI is like 20 and I'm not gaining weight from all the eating. I been the same size for 10 years. What's the deal, should I be concerned about my weight?

Are you about to get that special 'something'? Women's calorie requirements go up plus there are cravings for things with calcium or iron. Otherwise, look up the words 'glycemic index' - this tells you about what foods raise your blood sugar fast - this causes a rush of insulin which then has an effect of making your blood sugars levels to go low again, causing hunger. Eating adequate protein, healthy fat, fruits (which digest slowly because of fruit acids regardless of the sugar levels) , veggies and *complex* carbs are very important. What ARE you eating?

I have hypoglycemia so I actually eat every two hours or I'm starving and shaky. So my meals are half meals, no sugar, mostly protein/fat/fruit and veggies with a small amount of carb. Then snacks in between - keeps the weight off and the metabolism up. (plus you eat before you get so hungry which makes you over eat sometimes.) At two meals a day you will slow your metabolism down eventually over time...then the weight will get packed on. Eat more frequently, eat in the early part of the day, never after seven and eat well!

Sometimes the message that UR thirsty can B mistaken 4 Hunger.
Instead of eating, have a mug of Cocoa.
It may take the edge off the hunger pangs.

It's what I do, mug of cocoa, no extra sugar & half hour later the hunger goes.

it happens. i go through cycles of eating like crazy and then eating normally. it has a LOT to do with your hormones, so don't worry. maybe you could write down your symptoms on a calendar...you might notice a cycle...associated with your other period cycle!
