yes and it is also funny when their slogan was "melt in your mouth, not in your hand" cause they melt in your hand too

actually they do.
the candy coating tastes a slight bit different for some colors.. like blue and red.
red coating gives me heart burn.
and no it's not funny.
but do laugh, at least i can taste the flavor of poison.
i guess you're not a synesthete... a person who can read color, taste sound... great loss for you actually it's quite an experience.

this question and these answers are just insulting.
i find this ignorance the reason why things are never understood nor accepted.. let alone those people who wish for help and to be able to not TASTE the noise that surrounds them.. or have such igh sensitivities to chemicals that they can taste the difference in the same product.
yes... some m&m's to SOME do taste different. it's all chemicals with the coating and well of course for me only the coatings taste different to a point.. red is more tart than the rest for me.. but the chocolate more or less tastes the same.. and that tastes like nothing because there's not enough chocolate goodness in a dam m&m in the first place.
they should make them bigger and stuff more into those tiny 1lb bags...

That has always cracked me up. I used to work with a lady that swore they tasted different & would even pour them out of the bag & sort them & eat all the "not so good ones" first. Saving the red for last. Some people!

I like to eat them one color at a time and then they all are gone...lol...I have never known anyone who thought they tasted different I guess Empress

yes i do thinks it funny, i had a friend once try and tell me that every color stood for a fruity taste. yellow = lemon, red = cherry, green = lime and so on. where do they get these ideas.?

they probably think that as Smarties used to taste different if you had an orange one, they used to taste like orange flavour chocolate
