I am going to an eighties themed party and I can't find any pictures to get ideas..any help would good!

Google for Images of tv shows from the 80's, like Degrassi Junior High, The Cosby Show/A Different World, Cheers, etc, or movies like Desperately Seeking Susan, Footloose, Sixteen Candles, etc. Shows and movies IN the 80's dressed LIKE the 80's :)
This way you get to see what style you like better. Do you go super yuppie? Turbo fitness guru? Madonna-chic? Layers, layers and more layers of dayglo? Trailer Trash? Metal Groupie? The possiblities are endless.
THEN hit your local thrift store or Value Village because WOW, you will find exactly what you need there!

I was a kid in the 80s, and I wore big earrings and those jelly bracelets. Neon colors like hot pink and florescent yellow. Leggings (like what girls are wearing under those short jean skirs nowadays) with a long shirt and a belt would be cute. Remember big hair too!

placed on leggings, leg heaters, and an prolonged (extremely long) t-shirt with a belt over the shirt. Then placed on a good purchase of bangle bracelets, huge hoop rings, and a ingredient ponytail. Neon hues are much extra genuine. intense-good shoes are a plus as properly. i might shop at thrift shops if I have been you, considering which you will no longer opt to spend too plenty for those style no-nos :-)

Anything that is really flashy. Hot pinks and hot oranges where in. Stretch pants, jelly bracelts. Socks that had rings of color on them. Think miami vice, watch a few in reruns for ideas. Members only jackets were hot. Go to a thrift store for materials.

you are in luck cuz leggings has made a comeback, as well as leg warmers, big belts, skinny pants and oversized sweaters!!! Think Madonna (a la material Girl) or Cyndi Lauper...hook up a striped sweater over a lace cami w/ a pair of leggings or skinny jeans w/ a big fat belt cinched a little above the waist and flats..don't forget to accessorize w/ oodles of colorful bangles and necklaces..and the big hair or ponytail to the side...makeup---think bright blues and/ or pinks!!

Remember shoulder pads???? They were big in the 80's. How about leggins and big hair.
