Who did you call for a blood test? Your regular doctor or your OBYGN you picked out? Sorry if that's a silly question, but I've been worried about it lol I mean do you have your PCP confirm it first, THEN go to the OBYGN or just go straight to the OBYGN?

Thanks everyone for the answers so far! My insurance does not require referrals, so when it happens (crossing my fingers and toes!) I'll do what everyone has suggested and call my OBYGN right away. Thanks, one less worry to cross off my big list, haha.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE REFERRED TO THE OB/GYN GO STRAIGHT TO HIM AND GET IT CONFIRMED SO THAT YOU CAN START YOUR PRENATAL CARE RIGHT AWAY.

you could go it either way... Your PCP can confirm it and they will refer you to somebody or you can pick a OB/GYN from the yellow pages or someone you family/friend has used. It is all up to you, but go in right aways so you can get the prenatal care you need!

If you have a positive test, there is HcG (the pregnancy hormone) in your body! So unless you are taking some sort of drug that causes that (Clomid) you are pregnant.

All an OB!

You can go to either one first...unless your insurance requires a referal to an OBGYN.

It depends who you are most comfortable with. As soon as you find out if you are positive or not, consider setting yourself up as soon as possible with a doctor for your pregnancy.

If you are hoping for it to be positive, congrats!

I would go straight to the OBGYN... that way when you find out for sure she or he will give your vitamins and you guys can talk about it!!!!

Go directly to your OBGYN. They are the specialist and they are just going to tell you to there anyway.

Call your OBGYN. They would be the one to run any tests.
