get rid of the groups...its just not worth it

You can go to "Edit my Membership" on the group page and switch your email delivery preferences so that you don't get any email, or you only get a "daily digest" of all the email messages, or whatever you want. Which I would do - it does get extremely annoying, esp w/ all the spam bots.

you have to go into the gruop, unsuscribe. then join it again, but make sure that u click the setting that lets u only get the most important emails.

the groups are public, so normal to get lots of responses---benefits depends on desire

you can go to your account and edit it so that you can read them on the site instead of getting individual emails
