He doesn't take his time in the pocket and has no touch on his throws. He has a cannon for an arm, but sometimes you need to take a little off your fastball to complete a pass.

Man Mike vick can throw the deep route with the best of them
the problem is and has always been that his WRs drop the ball all the time
look at how many drops they had against the saints
if his WRs could catch he would have more confidence in them and wouldn't have to feel like he should run on a broken play
seriously watch Atl's next game and count how many times a Wr drops a ball that hit them in thier hands

Im with imaGman. Mike can throw up a fade or wheel route like some of the best but the only problem is it takes two athletes to complete it and the WRs on the end of that pass forgot to pick up the stick em before they made it on to the field. Plus if you can run like that do you really need to pass the ball?

Because Atlanta's coaching staff never made him become more than he is. They just let him do whatever he wants when they should've drilled it into his brain that he needs to sit in the pocket and go through his reads and only take off as a last resort. That approach worked with McNabb and appears to be working with JP Losman...

b/c at Va Tech all he done was run the ball and didnt pass much so now in the NFL he's use to runnin instead of passin so that's why he runs..to be honest i think he should be a running back and let the back-up QB be the stratin QB!

Because he has no good arm, but we all know he has god-giving Legs!
To be a good QB in the NFL, he must have at least average arm strenght and good vision!!
