Well, you are the only one who knows the answer.
The only thing I can say is that having a fascination for something is not instantly wrong. I can imagine you being fascinated by the power one man had in history, about the whole powerplay and machinery behind it, etcetera.
I am fascinated by serial killers, although I am very peacefull and against violence, and I am disgusted by their deeds. That they fascinate me doesn't make me bad, insane or whatever.
I would call you insane if you would be a follower of Hitler, but even that is a matter of who's perception it is.
If you know you are not harming anyone, then I don't see the problem of your fascination.

I'm Black.. French.. and Navajo; and yet I "get off" on rock music, and I think Bill Clinton was one of the best Presidents we've ever had. It has nothing to do with how he ran this country, but more so; how he stayed true to the person that he is, while being subjected to pressures unimaginable to the majority of us humans.
This is the type of "strength" that I admire the most, and it's no different than the type you admire in men like Hitler, Mussolini, Alexander the Great and etc. Being able to carry out one's wishes against the odds has always fascinated us, and it always will. And there is no greater odds, thus no greater fascination, than what comes from people who wish to be destructive.
We seek out the good.. but we're drawn towards the bad.
For example, you are driving down the road.. on the left side is a clown doing a juggling act, on the right side is a serious accident so bad that whoever is/was in the vehicles, could not possibly have survived. Which side of the street will your head be turned towards the most... of course.. we can't help ourselves... it's in our blood.

I am not so sure what you are feeling deep down is admiration for the man... rather enveloping your mind around the ability for the masses to follow a leader the way he and other leaders (good or bad) were followed. It is, to me, a fascinating notion really. The ability of a leader to use the fear and /or desperation of a nation to basically brainwash an entire nation or mass group of people. The ability to cultivate that fear or desperation into a belief system which causes average people to believe and at times act on concepts which are completely outrageous and often dangerous. I don't think it is admiration at all... Awe maybe.. Unfortunate thing is, you don't have to look that far back in history to see this type of scenario... look around you... it's everywhere. Bush, Al Queda, Scientology.. the list goes on and on...

Hitler wasn't a "strong man", he was simply a persuasive man. Big difference. Hitler didn't have the guts to kill anyone. He got other people to do his dirty work. Then, when the shyt hit the fan, he took the coward's way out - he killed himself rather than face the music. He punked out.
What you might be fasciniated by is an example of pure evil. We don't get to see that too often and when we do we are fascinated by it, wonder how someone becomes like that. That's why there are people who are fascinated by Hitler, serial killers, etc. The represent the darkest side of man and we rarely get to see that in everyday life.
But Hitler wasn't a "strong man" by a long shot. He was a puzzy who blamed his problems on someone else.
If you want to admire someone, try Martin Luther King or Christopher Columbus or Rosa Parks or John Glenn ... people who took a stand by themselves or faced the unknown pretty much by themselves, without the safety net of a bunch of followers to do their dirty work. I mean Columbus and Glenn both went out into the unknown, risking their OWN life. And King and Parks were fed up enough with the system to take a stand on their own and face the consequences.
Fcuk Hitler...

Hitler would have been the greatest thhing to happen to Germany, but the Germans were treated badly from WWI to his rise and their was a lot of deserving hatred for certain countries and other countries in the World Like Japan were empire building, The USA tried to stay out of it, but we know that didn't happen.
The Germans at that time were a strong dedicated country, who knows right now the entire world could be speaking German and we wouldn't have to hear the french complain.

Because you have a personality disorder. Your narrow world view, sense of righteous (albeit baseless) anger, hatred of women, and fascination with cruelty and corrupt power is indicative of an anti-social personality disorder. You admire these men because you are weak, and have no comprehension of real strength or power, and so these corruptions of human nature attract you. Hitler, like you, was mentally weak, and at some level you recognize this and wish to attain the power he had in order to feel validated. Seek help.

I'm quite fascinated by his ability to move great crowds and speak with conviction and deliver his vision. However, I must say, I condemn his actions of persecuting the jews. Genocide is a terrible thing to do, but his power is something that amazes me.
So no, it's not a bad thing.

I thoroughly enjoyed studying him in highschool, I think its about "Know thy Enemy".
The psychology is just fascinating.
Its also a good way to prevent stuff like that happening again.
EH-HEM, Mr Bush!
