I think that as Americans we take a lot of stuff for granted. Until hurricane Katrina we have never had to deal with the things that other countries deal with every day, like running water, electricity, food and a place to live. Look at how many countries don't have these things and tell me that we don't take the wonderful life we live in America for granted at least a little bit

I used to take just about everything for granted until I almost lost my husband to an accident. Now I thank God everyday for my family, my home, my job and anything else I can think of. Life is too short. Appreciate what you have today for it may be gone tomorrow.

I try not to, but I take my husband for granted. He was gone last week and I didn't have any clean clothes, I didn't eat most days and I didn't have anyone to talk to.

Honestly, I try not to take anything for granted.
On minute everything can be fine and the next
minute, it has changed, it is gone or something
happens to make it where it is never the same again.

So, I try real hard to be grateful & appreciate every
thing and every minute.
