It could be anything, it just depends on the child. There could be no noticeable change. My daughter starts to drool alot, get crankyand clingy, holds her ear, fingers in her mouth, gets a cold, and tires easily. By the way children often hold their ears during teething because they get shooting pains from the gums to the ear, something that anbesol and tylenol can't do anything about. Other then the signs above try feeling his gums you might be able to feel if there is a tooth coming through.

Some children do get a fever and cranky while teething. They also want to chew on things more and drool more than normal. My son on got fever on one occasion while teething. He mostly just chewed on toys and drooled alot during that phase. He didn't get to cranky, so I was lucky, most get really cranky during it.

They can get very cranky and run a slight fever. All babies are different though. Some don't have any problems at all, but usually they will at least get a little fussy about it.

Yeah some babies get cold like symptoms, runny nose, fever, and just cranky.Try giving him a cold wash cloth to chew on. When they are teething we don't realize that their gums itch so the cold cloth is great. You could also use infant tylenol if your baby is in alot of pain.

Excessive drooling and trying to chew on anything they can get their hands on. My son is six months old and he recently cut his first tooth and is in the process of cutting his second tooth. He drools a lot and chews on his fingers.
