i recently started YAZ, a birth control pill and it has given me nausea in the afternoons almost every day (its only been a week since i started). people told me that i will have this for the first few months. i was wondering about your experiences and how long it took for it to go away? did anyone actually throw up?

also, did you get breast tenderness? was it bad or tolerable??? thanks for your answers!

i just started taking them also, im at the end of my second week, i also had nausea from them and breast tenderness, the hurt really bad and still hasnt gone away, i would recomend taking your pill at nightime so you can sleep it off, this has seemed to help me, but i still have these queezy moments during the day, if it doesnt stop after next month i am switching to my former bc pill. i would recomend trying necon 777 they didnt effect me at all, no nausea. im in the same boat as you, hope this helps, and both of us make it through this.

I had nausea for the first three days of every month [I took them for 2 years] and yes I got breast tenderness. All in all, I got tired of feeling crappy, so I quit taking them.

Call your doc. The estrogen level may be too high. The pill always made me sick (i feel sick just hearing the word! :) I didn't have breast tenderness with the pill, but had really bad cramps when my period came. Anyways, ask your doc about the patch. Surprisingly, it never made me sick, but did make my breasts tender for a couple days before my period came.

I was on yasmin, not yaz, and it made me nauseous at the begining of the cycle for about three months.
