Having premonitions may be possible within the human condition. I too have had premonitions, before an actual event occurred. These are rare, but they do happen. They're usually something simple or common when they do happen, a certain sentence would be said from someone at a certain time of day.
As for those that claim to see the future, people have been doing that from time on end. Seems like those that make these big predicitons do it for the attention. Usually they're wrong. Then there are those that will claim they foresaw an event, after it happens! Please!!....those are the real phonies.

2 days before my mum died I had a vision of my grandmother in my room, thought it was a bad dream but then my mum died
Last night I was thinking hope no spiders run across my floor as this is the time of year(scared of them), 1 minute later a huge spider ran across the floor....
Thinking last night better ring the bank manager about the overdraft havn't rung for 10 months, got a letter through the door today saying that I have to ring now, weird I know but it is true.

I sometimes dream things that happen in the future, but i don't think it is psiqic, i think I recreated myselve the dream subconciusly
