I may have started it by leaving him a note which asks for him to let me know where he wanted something permanently stored (he wasn't around to ask in person). My reason for him to choose was because "I didn't want to hear any crap about why I choose the spot". And I also left a not so smiley face on the note (I know childish). He replies on a sticky note " Yo Homy right here where the filling cabinet is" He's a white guy and you see my avatar, and he doesn't talk like that at all I'm sure! Oh and he's one notch on the totem pole over me.

Perhaps have a quiet word with him in private and see if you can resolve the difference. If not then use the official complaint channels such as your HR or personnel department. Don't enter in to any childish games with him, that will not help your cause.

Yeah sounds like he needs his _ss kicked 100% but why give in to the Angry Black Man mentality. Next time he leaves you a note like that, just tell him like what a totally awsome like dude he like is. LOL But seriously, there should be some kind of policy that forbids racial comments like that. If you're really bugged by it why not just go over his head and talk to someone about it. Then wait for him in a nice dark place and kick his pansy _ss. Take care.

Depends upon what they do; if it's something non-serious, I'd take some deep breaths and not say anything. But right now, I work with some very good people and we all get along. It's awesome and it's also the first job I've had that I get along with everyone!

More times than none, I try to get over it, and as someone already said, be the bigger person. It usually works very well, and at the very least, you two will understand each other better and it will help in future "situations" :)

Be the bigger person, smile and walk away. If you still feel like opening a 24oz can of whoopa@@, then wait until he enters a dark alley and do what you have to do.
