I know this is challenging because I really cant remember the lyrics. I went to a club and they were playing an 80s song. It must have beeen a one hit wonder becuase I never hear it. It was very pop, bubble gum, liittle reggae. Not a madonna song but the lyrics went something like "causerary motion, something something notion"

Thanks for all of your answers but Dire Straits was not it. I finally figured it out. It is Locomotion by Orchestral Manoevres in the Dark. Thanks for all your help.

Yes I agree my post was not helpful. It would have been better if I could have hummed it. But its just that I went to a bar the other night and went nuts b/c I had not heard that song in years. After a couple of drinks that is all I could remember. I'm excited now b/c I just bought it and put it on my IPOD.
Across every ocean
for the sake of locomotion
but I wouldn't have a notion
how to save my soul
I walk down the sidewalk
run down the boardwalk
stop and make small talk
but I can't say no to you

Sounds like "Locomotion" from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD).

Could it be something like..."if you feel like lovin' me....I second that emotion." A Detroit Band maybe. Do they say"devotion" ? Good luck

You realize that what you've posted is not particularly helpful!
