Yes, I think the multiple intelligence theory is much more comprehensive than simply giving someone a test and giving them a score. People are more complex than that. Personally, I think my greatest strengths lie in the linguistic, interpersonal and intrapersonal. I've always excelled in comprehending readings, conversations and lectures and I like to relate that knowledge to myself and others. That's how I learn best. I am rather weak in math/logic and kinistetic, so I'm not very athletic and I take a calculator while grocery shopping.

Yes I believe in it. Why do you think we have "dumb jocks" or "street smart criminals" or even autistic savants. That's why some people are better at some things than other. Everyone, I believe, is intelligent in at least one area and may lack in others. If you have all the intelligences, then you've got to be a genius. I work with kids who have learning disabilties, and I tell them, you may not be able to read well, but you can do other things that some people can't do. Some kids with learning disabilities are excellent artists. Look at Albert Einstein, he had a learning disabilty and he did great things in his time. Even the weirdo Tom Cruise can be a million dollar actor even though he has dyslexia.
As for me, I'm a very analytical thinker! Although I also do well with my interpersonal skills (I'm a good listener).

Yes, I definitely do believe this theory. I fall into the Intrapersonal Intelligence, and I do learn MUCH better when my teachers/professors use strategies that work with this.

Oh, absolutely. I'm a visual learner. My husband is a do-er. The only way he truly learns, and the fastest, is for him to DO the thing you're trying to explain.
