I can vouch for this statement, I'm 6 1/2 week pregnant and on my fifth pregnancy and already I'm having issues buttoning my jeans. I'm not a large woman, but I'm not a bean pole either, I'm pretty average and to have to think about maternity clothes this early is very depressing :( But yes, with each pregnancy you will show sooner because the elasticity level in your skin and muscles goes down each time.

It was my experience with my 3 older children that I did show earlier with each one. However, when my youngest was 12, I very unexpectedly got pregnant after being on The Pill for 11 years. It's a rather long story, but I was 17 weeks along before knowing I was pregnant. At the time, due to some health problems, I had been losing weight, continued to have a period because of being on The Pill, and had none of my "normal" pregnancy symptoms. With that last pregnancy, I went all the way up to delivery being able to wear most of my normal clothes and most people didn't even know I was pregnant. I was 25 pounds lighter after delivery than I was when I first found out I was pregnant.

This is my second pregnancy and I was showing by 5 weeks. I think of lot of that had to do with bloating but my clothes already didn't fit. I'm six months now and I swear I'm as big as I was with my son when I was nine months pregnant with him. I didn't even show with my son until the sixth month...I hear that a lot of women show earlier in later pregnancies. The muscles and everything have already been stretched once and therefore stretch easier the second, third, fourth etc time around.

Yes that is quite common because often the more pregnancies you have had the weaker your stomach muscles are the earlier it shows. This isn't the case for all women though.

Most of the time, yes. Your ab muscles have already been stretched out from previous pregnancies, so they're not "quite" as firm as before. They have a tendency to stretch easier and quicker with subsequent pregnancies, letting your baby show sooner than with your first pregnancy.

I've not only heard it I've experienced it. Wth my first I didn't start to show until I was 6 months, and my second I showed when I was 4 months. I gained the exact same amount of weight with both which was 23 lbs. Your muscles give alot sooner the second time around which is why you show earlier.

Yes I have heard that. My first pregnancy was a singleton. Didn't show until the 5th month. My second pregnancy was twins and I showed at 3 months, and this one I have no idea too early to tell..

Yes, it's true. I am on my third pregnancy, (as is my sister-in-law) and we're both huge! I am only 11 weeks, but let me tell you, there is no doubt that I am pregnant. I am a little worried about how big I will get. I hope it slows down soon

I've never noticed that I showed sooner in my other pregnancies than I did with my first. I guess it depends on the persons body or the position of the baby. It could also depend on if there is more than one baby too.
