Only during the season which is why when a players a suspended without pay for a game they lose 1/16th of their salary per game.

Dude, they dont get weekly paychecks like you. There is a term called "salary", and when a player gets signed for 3million per year, that means he gets paid that much for the season. He can do whatever he wants for the offseason, but his work year is the NFL season.

The players get paid year round. It's not like they have to punch a time clock.
