Men have always been the ones who have been studied so consequently most history, research, art, music centres around their experiences. Women's Studies chooses to start from the standpoint of females.

No, men are not just second class citizens again - just not interesting or interestED enough to have their own category! Things about them are pretty obvious - not much to study there...
