Synthetic oil can be made from coal, natural gas or biomass. It will be a very long time before there is a shortage although the price may rise. Hopefully though we will find ways to use less of such fuels to protect the environment or ways to sequester the carbon dioxide produced (by pumping it into underground reservoirs perhaps). I think we will find ways to improve our lifestyle, get along with less oil, and protect the environment.

The world will be a better place because countries will stop fighting with each other over it. Also we will have a cleaner air with less pollution and quieter roads.
Hydrogene cars and electric cars will replace combustion engines that run on gas.
Oil tankers will carry milk and waters around the world.
Gas stations will not have cool dudes - Elvis look like.
Hot bimbo chicks dressed up like Barby will not stop in the gas stations teasing everyone.

A much CLEANER environment to live and breathe in that's for sure. This world funxtioned fine without oil before all this WAR over oil came about so I don't think that we actually need oil to make cars or machanics work. It's all about "MONEY" babe!

Oil my dear is a natural resource and it replenishes itself so there is no chance of it ever running out. When the oil companies say there is an oil shortage, they mean there is a shortage of production and not a shortage of available oil present in the earth. They create the shortage to raise the price of oil to make a profit......

Well, hopefully, we will have found another REASONABLE form of energy by then. I am hoping that it will not be more polluted, but I have little confidence about that. The other issue will be we may not have an earth to live on because of the pollution before it even runs out. Our temp. on earth keeps rising.
