North Korea will launch the warhead to demostrate that they need to control their own destiny, not by other nations. There are numerous small islands in the area that could be targeted but a greater fear is that with their war readiness and the US involvement in the Middle East is that they might get ambitious. Japan is in grave danger because they refused to trade with their neighbor (except illegally) and Japan is tied into the US heavily...mainly by high Japanese investment. South Korea is probably safe because of the fall out. China would crush North Korea within a very short time, so if NK aims high...maybe the US or perhaps a lot lower....Japan....From launch time to detonation would be so short no one could prepare. North Korea is also prepared to withstand retaliation by having build vast underground complexes. Even if they do launch, the best course for the US to take is to do nothing....we could retaliate with ground troops but we couldn't use nuclear weapons as it would draw China into the conflict and ultimately World War III. China has massed troops near the border, mostly defensively...so we need to tread cautiously. Remember that China has the technology and an army equal to every man, woman and child in the US....there are both Russian and Chinese submarines in international waters now surrounding the US and because of mutual defense treaties, we need to be very careful on how we react to anything. The Middle East is different as neither China nor Russia has accomplished much there and both have had the attitude to wait and see what fiasco will result.

i think of Japan could be maximum worried, they seem exhibiting the main difficulty. South Korea is a skill purpose. i do no longer think of North Korea could attempt to deliver a missile over to the U.S. it may no longer attain far sufficient, and that i'm particular in the event that they're attempting to attack a rustic they choose their first attempt to succeed, so a closer area could be an more desirable theory. The West Coast is on the furthest reaches of their missile's features and is possibly too far. Alaska could be close sufficient (as could Canada), yet neither are strategic objectives for North Korea. i would be stunned if something somewhat comes of this missile communicate from North Korea. they're all bark and no bite. Any attack on a foreign places u . s . could be a stupid selection. usa of america is extremely good allies with South Korea and Japan and we could retaliate on North Korea directly. North Korea has buddies in China and Russia, yet i do no longer think of the two u . s . could back North Korea attacking a foreign places u . s .. China has a genuine hazard at starting to be a particular best chum with the Western international and in spite of unfounded fears, they do no longer seem to be going to do something to alienate themselves from the the remainder of the progressed international.

It won't matter WHERE they launch one, nuclear war isn't something to be played with.
However, if they said *it would make it unforgivable* I'd guess Israel. Looks like it's time for that one world leader to come in and scare the living hell outta some people and see what happens next...

The nuke that North Korea has is like those rockets that you get from wallmart or toys r us. You need to point it where you want it to go, light the 'fuse', and off it goes. I hope this unforgivable locations is a third world country because everywhere else has the technology to pick it off. The 'threat' of North Korea is a joke.

Why would North Korea launch it? If they did then it's suicidal, not even China would stand up for them then. They are just using it as a bargaining chip by bluffing. However, if they WERE to launch it they'd probably aim for either Seul or Tokyo or some other large Japanese city.

They didn't say they were going to launch it; they said they were going to test it. Bolton and Rice have been screaming about how North Korea could join a nuke with a missile, not the Koreans.

No they didn't, they said that the test is not meant to cause provocation.
The most likely scenario is an underground test.
