My opinion would be that you have never had real closure on the issue. You might subconsciously be wanting to resolve the issue. I don't know. I am not a doctor or expert of any kind. I just remember about 5 yrs ago going through the same thing and this dream book I read stated that it was likely to be the result of the relationship ending without closure. Also, to better interpret your dreams, don't only remember who is in the dream, but WHAT you see or the colors, etc. There are plenty of websites that you can check out for free that will give you some insight on dreams. It's been awhile since I checked one out but I think the one I used was dreamdoctor. com

Dreams are usually an outlet for our fears, wishes etc so just analyse your feelings about this guy. Do you miss him? Is he better than the current guy? Do you regret leaving or breaking up? It could be sooooo much but if you honestly answer these and other questions you will get somewhere.
Good luck!

Our minds keep memories of goood and bad things that have happened in our lives. Re occuring dreams of you Ex are not uncommen. You experenced good times and madw good memories with him. This does not mean you have to seek him out and relive them. You have those experences in your memories. Cherrish those and make new ones with the new partner or find a partner you can build more memories with.

Dreams are only dreams - that's it. They are created from memory blended with creativity. Imagine what DaVinci used to dream of... In any event, I'd place no significance on the dreams.

The important thing is not who you dream about when you're sleeping, but who you see next to you when you wake up!Don't worry,it's because you are somehow "obssesed" with this idea!
Just relax and drink a cup of milk before you sleep

I do the same thing, It's usually when I'm thinking about him before I fall asleep or when I saw something that reminded me of him that day. It's no big deal, just your mind wondering.

Dreams usually reflect what is in subconscious mind. your security problems, your fears, your unfulfilled desires and so on.
One who does not dream at all and sleeps well is a happy man.
