yes they have been romantically involved for decades. Heard it from the horses mouth on a documentary they did together.

If you want actual real proof perhaps you need to go to the source. I believe I have read several magazine articles indicating that they were once romantically involved, but i think that was no longer the case prior to the mauling. I believe by that time, they were living in two separate 'houses'.
