Use the dosing instructions he gave you. If you are that uncomfortable, don't do it, but if the baby has allergies, it will be miserable & not interested in eating, or drinking & may have problems sleeping, which may lead to SIDS. The baby needs oxygen, & I have allergies & I know how miserable I was as a kid.

I have worked in Pharmacy for over 20 years and I would be nervous as well. I have found that pharmacists know more about medications than a Dr does. 1-800-CLARITIN (1-800-252-7484) or www.claritin.com. I did a little research for you and here is the info you need. There is no better way than to get the information than from the company. I would feel much better if you did this before you gave your baby this medication. Good Luck !!!

If your doctor told you it was okay then you should do it. Just make sure to give the right does. My son is on singular and he was 1 yr when we started that he's now 2 1/2 and doing great.

You can but watch baby very carefully for reactions. If its allergies that are concerning you consider going to see a naturopath....they have helped me out soooooo much with my 3 kids. I dont have a drug plan and so buying conventional drugs is expensive. Even with the naturopath fee..their remedy suggestions were way less money and they worked so well...and naturally! If you are breast feeding...then watch your diet carefully....especially dairy products. Good luck.

If it makes you nervous then don't do it. When my doctor gives me drugs I usually will do an internet search on it to see if it is really safe. It seems strange to me that the doctor would precribe a drug like that at such a young age.

Call your local pharmacist and ask for the dosage amount. It should be fine unless your child has health concerns.
