This is all I can find on the subject

http://www.ncsec.org/cadre2/team24_2/Plantpigments.htm
or maybe there is more information on this search

we mash the leaves in a pestle and mortar with a few drops of ethanol to extract the chlorophyll then use paper chromatography with a solvent of 90:10 propan-1-ol:ethanol to separate the pigments. this works well on nettle leaves.

Extract pigments from leaves by ether extration method.Seperate pigments by using acetic acid as a solvent and following the metod of column or paper chromatography. Use spectrophoto meter to measure the concentration of pigments. Go to library for more details.
