Totally wrong.

Pregnancy isn't about getting something for being pregnant.

Pregnancy means you are having a baby.
A baby means all of a sudden you go from free from any obligations to stuck on by an infant who NEEDS you every day, all day.

Anyone who uses pregnancy to get something is just pathetic. They are immature and in for a huge shock when raising a kid is hard.

Why don't you keep an eye on those people and see where they are in a couple of years. They will be stuck. They won't be able to get a decent job because they will have children to take care of, and child care is expensive. So they have the house. Then what? Can they feed themselves and the child? Maybe with public assistance! Can they buy clothing for themselves and the child? Maybe at the thrift store or Goodwill. Can they put gas in the car (if they can afford a car)?

Grow up, get a job, save some money, buy a house, then you can think about having a child. And then you can think about taking care of them for the next eighteen years (or more)! You are to be there for their benefit, not the other way around.

no imagine telling your child when they ask why they where conceived! well mummy wanted a home of her own and you get housed quicker if you have children. yeah right i think these sort of people (not mothers) has they don`t deserve that title (users) should think about there actions and how selfish they are being if life is really that bad and you want to get your own place get a job and rent have kids for the right reason not just to get re-housed and sponge of the government its usually these sort of people that palm that innocent child of to a strangers place so they can still do what they want i.e clubbing or leave the child in bed on its own to find out something bad has happened to the child. they need to grow up first before they can think about being a parent. there is young mothers out there who have a baby whilst at school, take the time out to give birth, then straight back into school, then collage cause they want to support that child and i say fair play to them there the type that earn the title mother.

No it's an awful thing to do, and costing us tax payers!!!! babies aren't toys, they need stability, love and parents old enough to understand and respect all that!!! There are plenty of us who work hard and still can't afford our own homes, and we have to come last on the list because all these stupid little girls keep getting themselves pregnant!!!!
My next door neighbour is 26 and has 5 Boys!!! It's a nightmare to live next too but she won't be happy until she pops out a girl and gets a bigger house. Be independent, get a job, and use bloody Protection!!! All good things come to those who wait and if your patient and work hard enough you will be rewarded .

No that is not the right way to go. It causes trouble in the long run. Babies should not be having babies. To get 'housing' people need to become educated, get good jobs and work to get a house themselves. More satisfaction comes with the knowledge of knowing you earned what you have instead of getting it for free. Because that housing isn't really free, tax payers are paying for that. I for one cannot stand the people that take advantage of the system and try and get government aid all their lives just so they don't have to work for it. It isn't fair to the rest of the hard working citizens in this country. Its a cop-out. Take responsibilityfor yourself. Don't have a child just to get a house. It's unfair for the child and teaches that child irresponsiblity and shows them to try and take the easy way out before working for something. Not to mention those teens and young adults will wind up having a harder life in the long run because of the responsibilty of having to care and provide for a child.

If in the UK-labour government should stop making this seem so attractive-surely you might aswell get up the duff at 16 to get a house and benefits and a house and never work. there are too many people like that in this country who myself and many other hard workers have to pay for via our high taxes-it's a disgrace. perhaps the government should reward hard working people with certain benefits like help to get onto the property ladder and stop doling out money to young girls who have 4 kids by the time they are 18!

19-22 isnot a teenager. (well 19 is but...)
Are they just getting pregnant to get a house?
Who should get help and support then-older people, 30-40 just because of their age?
I think it's good that some of the people who need help get it, and it shouldn't be held against them. Not everybody can get help. And younger people need more support than most.
It is sex education that needs improving. HOWEVER anybody who needs help-regardless of age should be given an equal chance.
STOP JUDGING PEOPLE ON AGE!

I don't quite understand your question. Yes, I believe that teenagers (or anyone) who have children should move out of their parent's home and start one of their own. I think that's the "right" thing to do.

EDIT--I didn't understand the question! From the other answers I'm assuming you meant that they should be obligated to get a house from the government. Heck no--they should be able to do that! I thought you meant just basic "Should teens move out of the house when they are pregnant?"--not should they be given a home. That's a silly idea! If a young adult--teen--has a child they should be treated no better--or worse--then an average aged woman who has waited to have children. You can't pick and choose who you give assistance to!

People who have child to get government housing and other welfare benefits or abusing the system. Furthermore no Teenager should get pregnant on purpose, they are no young to take care of a child they need more education and the ability to get a good job.

no they should not be using children to get a house i dont consider 19 - 22 teenages. Plenty of people these ages want children because they are ready, is there a hint of jealousy in your question about the fact they have children and you do not
