It depends on where you're staying, but the main Amtrak line starts from either Penn Station in New York City or Toronto(a Torontoan would be more helpful as to where it would leave from) and runs through Buffalo at DePew and Exchange Street stations to the ultimate destination of one of the above starting points. It stops at (to my knowledge) Albany, Schenectany, Rome, Syracuse, and Rochester...
I just did it this weekend...GO BILLS! There's a Marriot 20 minutes from the stadium and in easy reach of either Buffalo stop...
