I have never heard of this "myth" before and I have been playing with computers since 1983. But just for my curiosity, what kind of an animal is "anantivirus?"
Try to rephrase your message and be a little more specific if you really want someone to be able to help you.

No. I saw many people having 2 or more antivirus programs - might make the computer safer. But sometimes running some of them at a time will result in problem (I dunno why, just read that from many IT magazines). So try to install new antivirus, then if you get a problem, uninstall the old one. This may solve it.
By the way, what antivirus are u using? Many people (included me) think BitDefender is the best. Effective, easy to use and update, and not lower the system performance too much like Norton Antivirus.

You do not have to uninstall your current antivirus just to get rid of the virus in question.
Your current antivirus program is equipped with tools that can help you defeat the virus.
Your best bet is to run a virus scan and when completed and a notice cums up that you have a virus, just quarantine it. Problem solved.

Yes, but frankly I am not convinced you know what you are doing. If you already have antivirus installed, why do you need to install another???
