I am a definite believer in the occult.

In 1999, when my wife and I got married, we bought a house under foreclosure. The man that owned the house had died, and he left a mentally challenged son who became a ward of the state. The other children could not decide how to handle the sale of the house, and it eventually went into foreclosure due to back debt.

While living in the house, we experienced several instances when the man was causing mischief in the house, including turning things on and off. He definitely took a liking to my wife, and he would often go out with her in the car when she would be running errands. In the car, he would change the radio station if he did not like a song.

Anyway, to make a very long story short, I will tell you that we have since moved a few times, and we now own another house at least 1-hour from the other house. He has followed us (actually my wife) from place to place. Any junk mail that he would have gotten in his name has been forwarded to each of our addresses since moving. We have also heard him playing with some of my son's toys, and I have personnally experienced his presence.

Lastly, our pets can all sense his presence as well. We will often hear our Macaw carrying on a conversation with him.

He is definitely staying with us, and we enjoy his presence. He is a bit mischievous, but he is nice. He especially likes it when my wife makes mac 'n cheese - likes the smell.

When my bestfriend and I were in job corps we experienced a few abnormal phenomenon. When we first arrived we were in a room with 2 other girls and one of them claimed to have an imaginary friend that was real. Of course, we didn't believe her until one night we went to bed. Both of your clothes lockers were locked and we never put our stuff in each others locker. The next morning we woke up and her locker was standing wide open. She went to look for her hair brush but couldn't find it anywhere. A bit later I got up and opened my locker and there was her brush plain as day on top of the dresser in my locker. We had combo locks on the lockers and we didn't even know each others combo. How it happened we'll never know.
Another time while we were still in job corps, we were sitting in our room with our roommates all in a circle just talking and stuff. The radio was sitting on a chair across the room and suddenly it turned off. We looked over to see what was going on and the plug and been yanked from the wall and thrown on the floor away from the wall. Yet another unexplained mystery. Was it a ghost or something I don't know but I still get the creeps when I think about it.
The legend was that our dorm was built on top of an old Indian burial ground and that there was an old Indian witch who would sit at the end of our hallway at night when all the lights were out. I don't know if she was there or not because I wouldn't go out of my room after lights out. I'll admit that I was too freightend.

Yes. I was in the car with my parents when I was about 13 years old. We were in truck actually. Well, were tooling along on a clear cold night. All of a sudden we see someone in the road. My mom and I screamed and my dad slammed on brakes. We all were cringed waiting for impact. Well when we should habe hit the person it turned into a white mist and we went right through it. We were all shaking and noone said anything at first. Later we looked up some info on that spot of rural road and there was a car accident there years prior that had killed a lady. I definately believe in ghosts.

Also, In my great grandparents house (they are both passed by the way) my uncle lives there now. Alot of there stuff is still in the house. My great grandma's music box is closed up inside a drawer and it will still play once in a while. Also you hear foot steps.

I used to work in a "haunted" bar. Everyone told me from the time I started working there that there was a ghost that lived in the bar. I totally didn't belive them, so I was never scared to be there or anthing. One night it was just me and a waitress cleaning up. One of our other employees had been out that night and stopped by and helped me take out trash...this was not an unusual thing, but he would ALWAYS say goodbye when he left. The waitress asked me to wait to lock up so she could use the bathroom. When I shut off the lights to the main bar I saw what I thought was someone running back behind the bar....Our friend had not yet said goodbye, so I assumed it was him fooling around... I started to yell at him to get over here cuz we were leaving.....just then the waitress came out of the bathroom and told me that he had left about 15 minutes ago. Still wondering if someone may have hid in the bar I turned the lights back on and searched.... I found nothing...I have to say I was really creeped out that night...but I guess I dont really know for sure if I actually saw the ghost or if it was my eyes playing tricks on me.....there were other strange occurances that happened at that place too, but I guess it never really bothered me cuz I worked there for 5 years.

Absolutely.. Actually, not in my house but I was in New Orleans, and went to a bar. The strangest thing happened.. The place was practically standing room only, loud drunk people everywhere BUT there was one gent , sitting alone at a table with a 5 foot space around him that no one would enter. I mean these people were wasted and still, subconciously would not go near him. It was a perfect half circle around him. When I looked at him, I was shaken. TO THIS DAY, I can't remember what his face looked like though I looked at him and he smiled at me. Mind you , I was STONE COLD SOBER.
I left, went down the street and I swear I felt...followed..Not liek people, but.. ohh I dunno...wierd.
the next time I went to N.O. was at XMAS, it may as well have been a different place, so different...
BTW, if you are interested in "ghost hunting" and search of the paranormal, There are ghost hunter societies you can join...
Feel free to email me, I am going on a hunt on Halloween with a "ghost hunting" colleague.

Yes, I have. But in a very mild form.
It never gets worse around Halloween or the festival of ghosts in other cultures. If I give details it will become a book. I think I will write about it and get it published!

My brother and father claim to hear little girls laughing at my brother's house. They also said they've heard music but were unable to find the source (kinda like "ghost music" I guess). When my father is over there, he's said that he's seen a little girl run down the hall (my brother is single with no kids). My brother gets freaked out by all this but it doesn't seem to bother my father. My brother can be a big baby and possibly may have the tendency to make things up but my father is retired and was a preacher in a Pentecostal church when I was a kid so I tend to believe him. No matter, I haven't experienced this myself (thank God!!!).

I used to work in a haunted building, and once when I was on my own clearing up for the night I left the room I was in and when I came back all the knives were lined up in size order. There was no one in the place, I had checked and locked up myself. Then odd things started happening at home, the lights would be switched on when I knew I had turned them off, and the cooker switched itself on all the time.

Nope. Can't say I have. But my kids get more scared in the whole month of October. They hate this month. They don't even go trick or treating.
