One of the songs you name in your question is actually called "Arthur's Theme (The Best That You Can Do)", by Christopher Cross. The "Little Green Apples" one mentioned by someone else is actually called that, and the most popular version was done by BJ Thomas. "You Light Up My Life", by Debby Boone is pretty awful, too, as is "Don't Cry Joni", by Conway Twitty. "Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad", by Def Leppard is a really cheesy love ballad, and quite a departure from their earlier work.
