Sure. Pelosi should resign because William Jefferson took a $10,000 bribe while she was the minority speaker of the house. He has been caught on tape going back to his house in New Orleans to fetch the cash after the city flooded and the FBI is hounding him. She knew about this and did not ask him to resign.

Um no cause your dumb.
Uh but if she had knowledge of what someone else did that was illegal and covered it up and pretended to not know about it then yes she should have to resign. No one should be given a get out of jail free card simply because they are a politician.

There is a difference! Hasert knew what was going on, he facilitated illegal acts involving minors by ignoring information given him over a period of years. You are inferring that Pelosi had knowledge of another's criminal behavior and covered it up, or hoped a victim wouldn't tell? Name names, present facts!

By the Gods, there are those of you that have called liberals every name that applies to Foley and made vile accusations against Democrats for months (without proof or sources) Almost bragging about being reported so many times, and now when faced with some unsavory truths, it's not even skerry any more.!

Of course Pelosi shouldn't resign. She had no PRIOR knowledge of the misconduct of members of her party that she failed to disclose. You can't be blamed for the actions of other people, only for attempting to hide them.

At the same time, however, Hastert probably has done nothing wrong either. The situation that he was aware of was very different from the true extent of the situation revealed over the past week. The calls for Hastert to resign are more a sign that conservative Republicans are unhappy with some of Hastert's more moderate tendencies than a sign that he did anything wrong. This is just a conveniant excuse.

Can always count on you for a stupid question.

Hastert should resign for being part of the cover up. Personally, I think he should resign for incompetence, but then again, so should the whole current administration.

And by that logic, if Foley gets jail time, you should serve it for him, right.

This is the same neocon logic that got us stuck in Iraq.

Don't pick up the soap.

Are you really trying to say that consensual adult sexual behavior and the emotional, physical, and sexual abuse of children are comparable?

And, you probably wonder why so many people think of the GOP as being insensitive to humanistic issues, don’t you? Look in the mirror.
