The $40 would be useless in the woods, other than something to help start a fire. The cord can be used as fishing line off a stick. The pen knife can be used to gut fish and the axe could be used to hack off some branches for a lean to.

i'd cut wood with an axe to build a house, and put the wood together with the cord.then i'd make a fire using the money, and if i stayed too long and become depressed, i'd kill myself with a penknife..the end.
