Dress up like one of the Wiggles. It will be a big hit and to a bunch of 5 year olds, you will look very professional.

Go casual...all the kindergarten. schools or pre schools I know will definitely not oppose casual. Remember you are going to be with 20 3-4 year olds who are running ,painting, jumping . Casual will be well accepted by teacher and parents.
Obviously try not to wear skin tight skimpy t-shirts that reveal to much and that will distract the kids - lol
Just look decent, but more important...be comfortable
Good luck !!!!

Go for navy, black or khaki pants. You can put just about any kind of shirt with them. You can dress them up or down depending on what you want to do that day. I would invest in a comfortable pair of shoes though. Maybe some dexter like shoes or Clarks.

I was once a preschool teacher...Long-sleeved, rolled up polo in bright or pastel colors or collared shirts with slacks and flat shoes would make you just fine and comfortable for the whole length of physical activity with the kids.
Good luck for you will be up and about the whole time you are with them.

The people I know who work with children wear a polo shirt with comfortable trousers. Bear in mind when working with small children you will be getting down to their level and spend alot of time on your knees. Maybe some black or navy Jogging bottoms would work.

a pair of your black pants, comfortable shoes, and a blouse-not white. I would recommend against wearing any kind of character shirts because studies have shown that the kids view you as someone to play with instead of an authority figure.

I would wear good slacks that are machine washable and a nice top. Also comfortable flat shoes. I wish you luck in this new career path.

Ask the principal or the volunteer coordinator to tell you what attire will be most appropriate.
