I don't know if its the MOST negative: but some negative traits of cancer are:
Whiny, always thinking "why me" or that the world is out to get them, overly emotional, tend to be creatures of habit, somewhat lazy. Not very motivated. Sometimes too nice so that they get taken advantage of.

*we're extremely resentful. we can hold grudges for years, sometimes forever!
*during stressful times, we simply clam up instead of talking things out
*we also tend to be a little on the ungrateful side; many cancerians I know are surrounded by friends and family and still claim they've been abandoned
I disagre with Dremwood's claim regarding weak character. It's just that we can be somewhat unstable.

Much like the crab if their sense of security is threatened then tend to go into a shell. It can be difficult to get them to open up. They are very sensitve and if life has thrown them bad experiences they can become very withdrawn and hard to communicate with. On the flip side because of their need to feel secure they can become clingy, needy and drain your energy.

Hyper-sensitive, touchy, a snappy temper, moody, a hard exterior hiding a weak character, inclined toward self-pity, unforgiving, unstable, untidy.

Overly sensitive. They sometimes come across as "aloof", but that is just their "hard, outer shell". It is a defense mechanism, because they are so sensitive.
They do have many great qualities too...I suppose it just depends on what you are looking for in a mate.

I am cancer. so emotional and I hate it. I care about others feeling so much and I always got hurt. I wish I care about others less than myself. I Always keep my real feelings inside and got angry at myself but it's kool though. It's make me happy when I c others r happy.
