I am an American traveling to London next week for the first time. Are there any locals that can tell me a fun gay bar where professional business type people hang out? I am not into the young skinny bar flies. Please help, I want to have a good time but I don't know where to start.

I'd recommend two bars: The Box, 32 Monmouth Street (see www.boxbar.com) or Rupert Street Bar (on Rupert Street in Soho). Both attract the professional, suited type from 6pm onwards during weekdays. Later in the evening the crowd will change and become more diverse. Both bars are great fun - just remember they close at 11pm.

i have heard that Henry's Back Door is now open in soho.
there is also free cocktails on a thursday and friday.
