Which do you prefer? i buy both after all they are compatable but just the bricks in the case of mega bloks.

Lego blocks are indestructable except for melting them (not that i tried). Megablocks will crush under my workboots (she leaves them in the most inconvenient places).
Being a perfectionist i don't like mixing the 2. It don't always fit properly.

I prefer Mega bloks they have a wider range of merchandise plus it is a lot cheaper than Lego. I find Lego to be far too expensive considering you only get 200 pieces and in the end the model packs are quite poor. At least Mega Bloks enhance peoples imaginations and challenge peoples minds.

Legos are the greatest. I always played with my brothers legos. Back then they were a boys toy not a girls. We made everything with them. We got a few mega blocks once but didn't like them too well so we made the bad guys place out of those.

It depends on the age of the child. If the child is a toddler i would go with mega blocks because the pieces are bigger and they don't pose a risk of chocking. If the child is like 5 or even 6 then i would give them the lego's.

Oh it has to be Lego. I grew up playing with that stuff and I almost have a tendency to buy the new lego toys out today. (I don't because that'd be childish and I buy transormer toys, the 80's toys, to nourish the child in me).
I played with lego all the time and built many things, perhaps that's why I grew up (only physically) to be an engineer.

Depends on age of the child. Mega for infants, Lego for older kids.
