Help with interview style?

Question

I have worked form home for the last few years and I am heading out for some interviews. These are management and higher positions. I am lost! from shoes to outfit, I need help! I am 36 and average weight on the higher end ;)

So links to sites with pics examples would be helpful!

Since it's for the manager's jobs, you need to look professional.
Business suits are your best bet here. Whether it's a outfit you buy together or separates to mix and match, you need to look put together.

Your shoes should be simple, and classic. A closed toe is preferrable, and stay away from very high heels.

Some more general advice,
You also need to wear hose no matter what. Besides slimming you, it gives you a smoother line. You will look more professional than going in with bare legs.
Remeber to keep accessorires to a mininum too. Big chunky jewelry or lots of it won't look as nice as a single pendant and pair of matching earrings.
If a jacket or top is low cut, get a cami or something to fill in the neckline. Cleavage won't get you any job that's worth having.
If any part of the outfit is snug, put it back on the rack. Your clothing should fit and flow over your body, not hug and squeze it.
Remember that most indoor offices are kept on the cooler side for temperature. Try to dress for about 68 degree Fahrenheit (20 degree Celsius). In other words, you'll most likely want your arms covered, or at least the option to with a jacket or blazer.
Keep prints and patterns to a minimum. If the skirt has a print, the the top should be solid colored. It's always better to be too conservative than too bold.
Your makeup (if you wear any) should be more natural, and less vivid. If you play up your eyes, leave the mouth neutral, or vice verse. Never do heavy makeup on both at the same time during the day, it looks garish.
Make sure that your hair isn't falling in your face. People want to be able to see your face, but more espically your eyes. When you are talking and smiling with them, they want to be albe to read your reations. They can't do that through a cascade of curls.
Smile, shake hands, be polite, and be yourself.

GUIDELINE FOR WOMEN'S INTERVIEW ATTIRE

Select a skirted suit, pantsuit or conservatively tailored dress that draws the eye to your face.

Skirts are traditionally knee-length but those slightly shorter or longer are also acceptable.

Select blouses or sweaters that provide visual interest, but avoid transparent, tight fit, or have low necklines, revealing waistlines or details that detract from your face as a focal point. Typically, arms are covered at least to the biceps and often to the wrist.

Always wear hose to interviews. Wear plain-style, non-patterned hosiery and select colors that flatter your coloring. For traditional industries, wear a neutral color. For other industries, you may choose to wear hose that coordinates with your skirt. Carry an extra pair in case of runs.

Perfume should never be strong. A fragrance can cause an allergic reaction or offend the interviewer. When in doubt, do not wear perfume.

Use natural-looking makeup and clear nail polish. This keeps the focus on the interview.

Do not carry a purse with a briefcase. Choose one or the other.

Wear flat shoes or low pumps in colors that avoid making your feet a focal point. Be sure that they are clean and polished. Avoid shoes that hinder walking fast. This lowers credibility. Avoid open-toed shoes since associated with social agendas.

Add accessories to express your personality and accentuate your best features. A scarf or necklace is an effective way to focus on your face. Keep it simple!

Women in general wear too many accessories at the same time such as earrings, necklaces, and rings. These can accentuate your personality and can be an asset if worn in moderation. Avoid dangling earrings and wear no more than one ring per hand and a dress watch. Be sure all jewelry focuses on the face.

Hey Sandra!
First and formost, a clean and pressed suit will NEVER fail! Stick to drak colors, like black, gray and navy. You dont have to wear a collard shirt under the suit but nothing with a plunging neckline either. Also your hard should be pulled away from your face, if not neatly placed in a bun or ponytail. And you should only wear stud size earrings, and minimal jewelry. Also makeup should be minimal and clean as well. And please remember that open-toe shoes are an absoulte NO!

wear slacks or a skirt with a nice top, comfortable shoes. It won't help you if you are crying about pinched toes. Ohter than that just go in there knowing what you are capable of, be confident. You are the right one for the job, let them know that. Good luck.

the only man or woman she could hit on complicated is Rex...yet I pay attention she is familiar with him so.... She could try hitting Sara...yet I doubt she would be in a position to...As for Mikey and Darnell, she must be laptop and she or he has no longer something complicated on Rachel.
