it depends on the liquid. for instance: one gallon of unleaded gasoline has a different weight per volume of liquid.

water for instance weighs approx 7 lbs per gallon, 128 fluid ounces, while milk weighs about 8.2 lbs per gallon, or 128 fluid ounces.

In the conventional US measurement system, there are 32 fluid ounces in a quart. A fluid ounce is the volume of an ounce of water. A quart of water weighs approximately 2 pounds.

No, an easy way to check this is to fill a quart bottle with water and weigh it. A gallon of water weighs approximately 7lbs. There are 4 qts. in a gallon. Close but no cigar. Now stuff the quart with feathers, or foam balls, or whatever and weigh it. If you subtract the weight of the bottle empty, what do you get. Do you think the mass of a substance has anything to do with it?

The ounce (abbreviation: oz) is the name of a unit of mass in a number of different systems, including various systems of mass that formed part of English units, Imperial units, and United States customary units. Its size can vary from system to system. The most commonly used ounces used today are the international avoirdupois ounce and the international troy ounce.

A fluid ounce (also known as a fluidounce) is a unit of volume in both the Imperial system of units and the U.S. customary units system. However, the two measures are not quite the same:

The Imperial fluid ounce is 1/160 of an imperial gallon or 1/20 of an imperial pint or 8 fluid drams, about 1.734 cubic inches or 28.4130625 millilitres.[1] This volume of water weighs very nearly 1 avoirdupois ounce (it is the volume occupied by one ounce at 62 °F, weighed in air with brass weights).
The U.S. fluid ounce is defined to be 1/128 of a U.S. gallon or 1/16 of a U.S. pint, exactly 1.8046875 cubic inches or 29.5735295625 milliliters. This volume of cool, pure water weighs about 1.04 avoirdupois ounces (29.5 g).

A quart is a unit of measurement for volume. It is equal to two pints. There are several different units known as a pint, and so there are accordingly several different quarts.

Pound (mass), various units of mass or weight

as you see above,
pound and ounce are units of mass, quart is a unit of volume.

actually it is:
32 fluid ounce = 1 quart ... volume
16 ounce = 1 pound ...mass

your question is like asking:

if 12ml of shampoo weighs 3grams

(note: statement about shampoo here is not fact.
i only used it as an example. but if you want to know, then check it. i hope you'll understand why i used it.)

does that mean that

144ml of softdrinks weighs 36 grams?

or if you mean only one matter,
then there are 36 grams of shampoo in 144ml of it.

i know you used ratio and proportion.
always remember that there will always be time for everthing.

Water weighs 8.34 pounds per gallon and whole milk weighs 8.6 pounds per gallon. Skim milk is more dense because there is less fat and fat is lighter than water.
1 quart of water is 1/4 * 8.34 = 2.085 pounds.
1 quart ( 32 LIQUID oz) of whole milk is 1/4 * 8.6 = 2.15 pounds = 34.4 DRY ounces

So for a quart of milk is 32 oz liquid even though it weighs 34.4 oz dry.

ABSOLUTELY NOT !!

Two pounds of Styrofoam will not fit in a quart.

One quart of lead will weigh more than 2 pounds!

You have to consider the product you are talking about before establishing the weight vs. measure.

WELL SHIVER ME TIMBERS...

THE OLD COMPARING OF APPLES
AND ORANGES TRICK.

NOPE. IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT.

IT MEANS THAT IN THE ENGLISH
LANGUAGE THERE ARE TWO
SEPARATE AND DISTINCT MEANINGS
FOR THE WORD "OUNCE" .

One term has to do with weight, as in
the number of ounces to a pound.

Another term, by the same name,
is a unit of liquid volume measure.
There are so many ounces in a
quart, gallon, liter, etc.

the weight of a liquid depends upon
what the liquid is and how concentrated
it is. Concentrated means how much
it is diluted with water or other solvents.
Coke syrup for example is very heavy.
Normal coke like we purchase to drink
in a can or bottle is quite diluted with
carbonated water, and thus much lighter
than the concentrated syrup flavoring.
