Not a first date I hope. That would probably freak me out a bit like are you taking me there to do what you want then dump me in the water? lol
If this is a couple of weeks or months into it, it'd be cool. Maybe go somewhere for dinner but pack a basket for the beach with sweet things and wine for the dessert. Fruits, chocolates... and a blanket! Don't forget the flashlight! You never know when you need one of those on the beach!

it always depends on the person me, Im not all for the romantic walk on the beach. Bring over some video games and Ill have a good time.Paintball is also fun nothing all romantic though its so lame.
