when you have a miscarriage, what do the doctors do when you go in?

What is the precedure when you go to the doctors, and is it the same thing they do for an abortion?

yes its the same thing its called a DNC but they don't always have 2 do a DNC only if your like 3 months and they do that 2 make sure everything came out it really doesn't hurt it the sound i don't like. If you have a DNC you might have some cramping followed by some bleeding it may last a while. sorry 4 your loss, good luck, you ill be fine though it doesn't take long either

It is almost the same as an abortion, but it is called a DNC. They go in and scrape the remaining part of the fetus out of the womb. But it truly depends on how far along you were when you had the miscarriage. Some women who have them within the first 8 weeks of pregnancy can pass the entire miscarriage like having a period it is just heavier and longer than normal.

An abortion's different because the baby is still alive when they begin the procedure (if by drugs or surgery). Whichever way they do an abortion the baby suffers.
A miscarriage is natural, but it can still be sad.

It depends on how far along you are... sometimes your body can pass the baby on its own, and sometimes they have to do a dnc. I don't see it the same as abortion because the baby already passed.

i have had a miscarriage but everything had gone when doctors looked inside so i didn't have to suffer with a D & C. they just looked around roughly for a bit

Sometimes your body will pass it all...sometimes you need to go in for a d&c to have it scraped out of your uterus...If given the option I would take a d&c

it does depend on how far gone you are i had a DNC but that was years ago now they scan you and see if anything is left if not they let nature take its course.
