Life starts whenever you let it kick in! Meaning-----you go through your childhood while depending on your parents/guardian to take care of you. Then you become a teenager. Now for a lot of people life starts right there. It depends on where you are, who you're with, and what your interests are. Ok so now you're 21, you're grown by law, you can pretty much do whatever you want depending on your lifestyle meaning either you're already in college, or you have some type of career going or you're just pretty much doing much of nothing. You get older, everything becomes a process as you age. So by 40 you should pretty much be either ready to settle-down routine style or buying a new convertible, flipping the bird on the road to anyone that pisses you off while you're just driving just getting the hell out of Dodge. So like I said in the beginning, life is whenever you let it kick in. But you will know how old you were when it does happen. Doesn't necessarily have to be 40. .

I think that 40 is about the age you start to think about your life more. You start looking back and thinking about how things have turned out. But if you mean that 40 is the age that you start living it up, you know having fun, absolutely not. at 40 your life is more than half way over. If you haven't taken good care of yourself , its hard getting up in the morning to go another 24 hours of yet another day. My life started at birth, I lived it to its fullest extent, and before i knew it i'm 46 and wishing i had it to do all over again.

Life at 40 is exactly the same as when you were 39 - nothing changes - you can change though and make more of your life and your free time - the kids should be more in independant by now and that should give you more free time and you might be financially more secure and so have more disposable income to enjoy yourself with.. However if you're happy going to work and then coming home and eating and watching telly till its time for bed then nope.. nothing will change.. same old life.. ticking away

Alot of people have asked this, but heres my answer;

Im 21 years old so i obviousley dont know what it feels like to be 40 years old! (sorry for making you sound ancient ;) )

But... i dont believe there is any point when your life starts from (whether its an expression or not)- other than when you are born!

Life is what you make it-whether you are a child, in your 20's in your 40's or so on!

I guess people would like to believe that their life will start at such and such age, but the truth is-its nothing to do with the age, but with the belief that their life will "start" or get better!

Hope this makes sense!xx

I would say between 30 and 40

2006-10-04 06:01:28 · answer #7 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

No, this is something 40 + people say.

Proof of this is in the most popular choices for the best moments of peoples lives. i.e. having kids or getting married, you would be a slow starter if these occured after 40.

Life starts from day one- a new "chapter" opens when you turn 40, as with every decade. And for your specific question, it depends on what you want- if happiness to you means partying, being single, and being carefree, then no, life ends for you at around 30. If happiness means marriage and a family, then life starts at about 30 for you.

40 is considered the new "20" for this century.
I find that at this age the children are usually old enough to be left alone for a weekend and couples can really enjoy themselves outside and in the bedroom.
