Hun, let me tell you a little story to help you see my point in my answer. When I was 14, I has stopped getting my peroids and I start to get big in the tummy area, like I was pregnant(thats what ever one told me I looked like.) Then one morning I woke up and I had a very sharp pain where my ovaries are. I was taken to the ER and they told me that I had 6 ovarian cysts, 3 on each one, all very huge, doctor said they were almost the size of golfballs. They told me becuase of the cysts erupting all at the same time, that I would never have child. That my percentage of child bearing was only at 1%. But they told me straight out that I would never be able to have a child of my own. I had even started to talk with my sister about her carrying a child, in other words her being a surrogate mother for me. However, when I was 16, I had gotten pregnant with my daughter. To me its a miracle. I mean I had tried having a child and no luck, then it just happened. Now at 17, I have my daughter, Rreiawna, and I am happy.
So yes, you can start planning for a baby and it will not harm your child, there is nothing wrong with my daughter. However, you might want to take into consideration, that it may take you a while before you do become pregnant. It may not happen at once. However, with you having only one cyst and it being very small, your chances are higher then most with cysts, its higher then what I had. But if I was able to get pregnant after the doctor told me that I would NEVER have a child, then yes hun, you are able to make plans for your future family.
I want to wish you good luck and wish you the best of wishes with starting your family. It's a joyful thing, and I woudn't change it for the world. So good luck and hopefully everything will work out for you. I do send you my best and deepest wishes.
Have a good day.

When i was 16 i had an ovarian cyst and the doctor never told me about it. it was the same size as yours when he knew and never told me. and 6 months later i was in pain. not to scare you. the cyst actually rupsured inside me and i was rushed to the er when i got there i was rushed into surgery. the point of the story is yes you can still try for a baby it doesnt affect it at all. i was told that i can still have healty babies and normal pregnancys. every woman has a cyst every time you ovulate and they go down once you get your period. just some woman they just keep getting bigger and thats what had happened to me. its been 3 years now and i havent had one since. if you are trying for a baby im sure your doctor wouldnt have put you on BC. i was put on it to supress my overies so i didnt get another one. i have been off of it for a year now an i havent had one or any signs of one. and i also have a new doctor now lol. but you might want to consider that if you arent trying. just so it doesnt get any bigger. But i wish you the best of luck and i hope that my story didnt scare you to much.

Depends on the severity of the cyst. Since it sounds minor, I would say go for it but talk it over with your doctor to avoid any complications.

women get cyst while they ovulate for some persons it is usually a discomfort in are aspects from gentle discomfort to being bent over double from the discomfort ,so as quickly as we don't ovulate they seem to get extra effective it somewhat is why us women that have difficulty with them the medical doctors many times stick us on beginning administration so we don't ovulate so as quickly as we pick to get pregnant we would desire to continuously take care of the cyst until eventually our little miracle happens than at approximately 12 weeks into our being pregnant they pass away so confident being pregnant will help for a speedy time or it has for me iam now 15 Weeks and mine went away around the time i develop into 12 weeks.and mine are so undesirable that i can't arise as quickly as I ovulate from my proper section and mine are many times 3mm so i comprehend what your feeling good success --------------------------------------...

you need to get the cyst taken care of first because they can make it more difficult to conceive
