Madagascar. Friendly, exciting, great cuisine, fascinating traditions, fabulous beaches and unique wild life. One particular place, Nosi Be, is so beautiful that when I saw it I could hardly believe my eyes. And since so few people go to Madagascar, one doesn't run into coach parties.

If you are trying to get away from the stereotypical "Spanish Costa Resort" you must consider Estepona, between Marbella & Gibraltar.
500 year old Spanish seaside town & fishing Port. Lots of eateries, shops, plazas & supermarkets. Great sandy beaches.
Stay at Villa Tranquilla (www.theextramileholidays.com) Only 4 apartments, heated pool & gardens. Quiet with sea views.
Bueno vaccaciones.

Cape Town, South Africa. Great weather in summer, great food, a million cultures in one place, and the most spectacular scenery in the world. Voted on of th 4 coastal cities to visit before you die (along with Vancouver, San Francisco, and Sydney)

America, namely Florida. All the comforts of home but everythings on a bigger scale, no language barrier, the food is great, beautiful beaches and scenery, brilliant theme parks, and the shopping is cheap. What more could you want?
