Her tenancy and her benefits are potentially impacted by anyone cohabiting with her. Assuming you have your own income, then if you were judged to be cohabiting then your income could be taken into account when assessing her benefits (ie her benefits could be cut). Evidence of cohabitation could include any of the following:
- You live there as your only or main residence
- You have given that as your address
- You contribute to the upkeep of the household (in cash, or by paying bills)
Provided that you continue to have a separate address then it shouldn't matter how often you stay over with your girlfriend, although make sure you are able to present evidence to this effect if someone does happen to report her to the benefits agency or the council.

Whats this watch out bit I paid my income tax all my working life and now because I have a small pension cant get any help now I'm retired and ill, mind you its not surprising with so many spongers around.Do the decent thing and have her move in with you if you think you like her that much then some deserving poor soul can have her council house,But as others have said the DWP could use video evidence and if she gets evicted would you stand by her?

I believe that staying more than 3 nights in a row is regarded as cohabiting by DWP, but watch out, there are some vindictive people around.

I would imagine you can STAY with her quite frequently. However, if it was deemed that you were LIVING with her, her benefits would be looked at and probably CUT whilst taking into account your income.

you are not allowed to stay over 4 nights in a row or they would investigate and she could loose her benefits.

I think you have to "be there more often than you're not" for her to declare that you're there. She'd be better staying at yours unless you're contributing in which case she should declare you as a partner.

I think if you start living with her she would have to inform the Social but if you are just "seeing" her then I would't worry about unless someone grasses you up of course
