Communications are accomplished by skip
threading. It is similar to morse code. Threads
are skipped in an over and under pattern for
each letter of the alphabet. To read the written
message you must hold the woven fabric up
to the light and use a magnifying glass. Be sure
to hold the fabric up the right way or the message
woven into the fabric will come out backwards
and not make any sense.
