They are critical in hospital, the police are hunting for witnesses as they believe it to have been a street mugging gone awry.

Thing is, there is still blood spattered all over the pavement and wall of a garden where this happened. The police have been and gone with photographers, as have any ambulance crew- but they've left a big splat of blood right out in the road..could there be any reason for this apart fom someone forgetting to turn up and clean it away? It is on a route to hte local primary school so I am getting a bit worried but I do not want to clean it up in case it is part of a crime scene- that said, there is no tape or barriers around it?

A neighbour has rung the police twice and both times they have said a car is on the way as they spoke.

What do you think?

I was on my way home from work late one night and came across 6 teenagers beating up 1 guy, they took off when I stopped my car, I called police, ambulance etc. there was blood everywhere and this was right outside a primary school. Nobody cleaned the blood away, eventually the rain washed it away. So forget about the police doing it if it bothers you you'll have to do it or wait for the rain

do not physically alter , remove or mess with crime scene, instead if you want to be help to local law enforcement and how they are delaying the matter of investigating, take a video camera and video tape each hour with time stamped on video, for 1 minute or so each hour than report how the law enforcement are bunch of slackers who dont investigate possibly or potential murders in your area, you can than even take it to the media and say you have a tape or proof of how they slacked. Media, like local newspaper may evn give yo money for it. Furthemore the video may serve as important data if crime scene becomes altered by someone else later.

It's not a crime scene anymore since the tape has been removed and if it were it's worthless as I am sure it has been contaminated by now.

I would personally call the police and ask. But it sounds like if you want it cleaned that you will be cleaning it.

It should be cleaned up, if the crime scene investigators have finished and no one is standing guard anymore then its been sorted, I would be out with a bucket or two of hot bleach water to swill it away before it upsets even more people.

I would phone them again and explain the situation about children going past there. I would keep on at them until someone cleans it away. Sorry this has happened in your area - it's awful. There are some horrid people in this world!
