Follow your instinct as a mother. Take her. If your doctor has a problem with this - then change doctors.

Any doctor would probaly Suggest you took her in, if someone she comes into contact with every day just got over a case of bronchitis than it would be sensible to think she could have obtained it from him, Children are so suseptible (sp) to germs and virus' at yound ages, and with him in the same house there is a good chance she could have cought somthing. Though it could just transform into a cold and not get as serious as bronchitis.
I think you should take her in =)
Good luck

I think if you have a 6 week old daughter that you think is sick, then she should go to the doctor. You can never be too sure with a small baby. Better safe then sorry. Especially if she does develop a fever.

Sounds like you are a mom on the ball--good for you. Let the Dr. know, mention that your other little one just is over bronchitis, do you have a nasal aspirator? They help when the "boogies" can't come out, babies haven't learned to blow their noses yet. Good Luck mama.

She prob has just picked up a cold or a touch of a virus. There is nothing they can do for her at 6 weeks unless she has an infection!!! Give her a couple of days and let it run its course unless she starts running fever or acting uncomfortable!!! All babies get a cold alot in their 1st year of life. It helps build her immune system!!!

Its been my experience with my children that there isn't much they can do until something else, like fever, shows up. But, you always have the option of calling to talk to the nurse at the doctor's office to be sure.

It's normal for a newborn to sneeze and have nasal problems. They are adjusting to the air from being in your womb for 9 months. You could still call the doctor to be on the safe side.

call your doctor office and just ask to speak with the nurse tell her all that and ask if you should bring her in. its better to ask then not too. I was always told my my ped that if there wasn't a fever they were probably ok but you can call and ask the nurse and if she says no that saves u a trip to the dr. good luck hope she feels better.

See how it progresses, if it gets worse as the days go by, enough that she is obvioulsy in discomfort and makes you worry, then take her in. No one will think you are silly for taking care of your precious baby. Good luck.

i dont think bronchitis is contagious, you may want to make sure there is nothing around that your children are allergic to. after having allergies if the mucous sits in your chest you will get sick.
any pets or lots of stuffed animals around them, the stuffed animals collect dust. i only have a few for my kids, we all have allergies.
