I was at the airport the other day watching people come out of arrivals and wondered to myself, how long would I have to wait till I saw a famous person. So what's the ratio of normal people to famous people in the UK? One in a 1,000 One in a 10,000? And I'm counting all famous and infamous people here, politicians (who everyone knows), royalty, soap stars, pop stars.

Who knows? There are so many people who get called celebrities but you wouldn't recognise them if they walked right passed you. These celebrity TV programmes are full of people who I wouldn't call famous. Just being the child of someone famous, doesn't make you famous, in my opinion. But they seem to count anyone who has ever been on TV or in a newspaper as famous. That's going to work out at a lot more than 1 in a 1000. Probably closer to 1 in 100.

That is a hard one to answer!
But I am sure that famous people do not come out of the same entrances at airports that we would, they would get mobbed and cause cahos. They normally go via a back root or if not they are well surrounded by body guards and police and escorted through as quickly as possible.
So I doubt very much if you would see any famous people by just standing and waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're all famous here! There's only 200 of us on the tiny island in total so it's no wonder. Actually, I've lived in Britain my whole life and have only ever seen maybe 4 - 5 celebs in random sitings ever so the ratio probably isn't that high. I pressume you're American or from some other vast nation?

i would think there are hundreds of famous people in the Uk they just dont all catch planes from the same airport on the same day. ..................
