Depends on what shade of brown the suit is, if its a darker brown then i suggest a cream shirt and a pink tie, make sure you wear brown socks and shoes. If it is a lighter brown then i suggest a navy blue shirt with tan shoes and no tie, remember the sock colour!! And also remember a belt to match your shoes.

A light camel brown or dark brown?

If it's the former, I'd recommend you to wear a long-sleeved business shirt that's tan, cream, or white. Wear an Oxford vest (colour combo should be light brown with dark brown stripe at the edges.) and inside, wear a golden hued tie.

Good luck and have fun!

Solid shirts could be yellow, tan, ecru, cream, biege, orange or pale green. You could wear a striped shirt with two of these colors in contrasting values. Ties could be contrasting brown, rust or green. Diagonal striped ties are acceptable any time. For a more formal look, pindots or Ivy League ties are good. How about a yellow shirt with green tie that has yellow pindots to pick up the shirt color? If you wear a striped shirt, a solid tie is safest.

It is very popular to match a mid to light blue with brown at the moment...looks a bit retro.
How about a beige shirt with a tye that combines 2 shades of a lighter blue, cream and a dark beige, maybe a bit of brown as well.
If its for a wedding and depending on you personality how about a pale gold tye and an ivory shirt

Don't wear the brown suit. Just wear the tie.

Brown suits are a drag. You better ask your mom. Unless she's under 50. In that case, ask gramma. If I HAD to wear brown, I'd pick a black shirt. Then you can wear just about any solid color tie you want, as long as it's not too dark.

Well I think it depends on the shade of brown but if it is fairly dark I think a very pale shade of pink with either a cream or slightly darker pink tie would go well.
