I don't know. I suppose most people would prefer to be an intelligent American. Who would like to be an ignorant arrogant non-American?
Oh, by the way, were you making a statement about Americans? If you were, somebody might think it was an ignorant, arrogant statement. Think it over.

What makes you say Americans are ignorant and arrogant? You don't really base your question on anything.. personally I'm Australian - we see a lot of shows like Jerry Springer, judge Judy etc etc and it does give the impression that Americans can be a little out there but these are just TV shows there are people like what we see in these sorts of shows everywhere in the world - I think generalising a race or nationality with a question like this makes you more than a little ignorant.

Sounds like sour grapes to me! I'm happy to be an American, and I would choose to be one even if I were ignorant and arrogant.

I am not ignorant or arrogant but i can disagree with the leader of our great country and not be shot.
i have an opinion and have rights to voice my opinion
i can vote
i can go out in public and not hide my face
not all americans are arrogant or ignorant-travel to the small towns and get to know people.
walk down the street and greet people with a smile and you might get one back!

It sounds to me your judging a book by it's cover. You can't judge everyone the same. Everyone has their own thoughts, beliefs and mind. When you say that you sound like a ignorant arrogant person!
