Many Universities offer TA (Teaching Assistant) positions to graduate students. You would be responsible for undergraduate courses, while pursuing your masters degree. Often times this type of work can offset some of your graduate education expenses.....Some Universities even offer deals on housing for TA's. I went to Purdue University, and most of my recitations were taught by Teaching Assistants, while the Professors taught the lectures. TA's are under the supervision of professors. Now is a good time to start investigating this opportunity at your university.....hurry before the new semester starts. Positions are often finalized several months before a semester begins.

You might be able to get some sort of assistant's post in your university but these are rare unless you are able to act as a demonstrator in a science/engineering lab. You could enquire of your local FE college to see if they require any part-time or temporary lecturing staff. The local education authority should be able to give you the address of the organisation they use for recruiting supply teachers if you fancy school work. Why not consider private tutorial work? Some parents are very keen to pay some one to enhance their offspring's chances! Finally, if all you are wanting is some extra cash while on your Master's, how about assistant work in your university's library? Many are staying open 24 hours a day and need the extra staff.

Anyway, good luck in both your degree studies and in finding work. I know the problem of studying at that level and not having enough cash. But it was worth it in the end.

As your first answerer said there are teaching assistant positions in the universities for graduate students. However most of these are for science demonstrating. You can ask though.

The other thing you can do is tutoring of A level students you can tutor someone in the subject you have done a degree in. You do not need a teaching qualification to do this. However you will need to convince the person you are teaching (and their parents) that you are qualified and competent.

To teach/lecture you need a degree of some sorts PLUS you need to a year long teaching course.
